The findings concluded multiple brain abnormalities—optic nerve hypoplasia (ONH), septo optic dysplasia (SOD), agenesis of the corpus callosum, cerebral palsy, hypothyroidism, ectopic neurohypophysis, midline fusion of the hypothalamus, neonatal subclinical seizure disorder, and grey matter heterotopia. The neonatal specialist proceeded to express his condolences. His prognosis of Gibson’s future was bleak—deemed hopeless with little to no quality of life. Gibson spent a total of 40 days and 40 nights fighting for his life, while his mother fought in faith.
